Howick Hospice is an N.G.O. and receives only our Social Worker's salary from Government. We are, therefore, constantly seeking funding to initiate new projects and to sustain those projects which are up and running well.

The following donors have generously funded various projects since 2000 :

National Lotteries Board - General Running Expenses

Community Care Centres - Funding of extensions to Hospice buildings and new Education Centre

Firstrand Educational Trust - Part- payment purchase price of new vechicle.

Theatrecares - 2 Projects - a) To extend our Outreach Programme to include Squatter camps in our area - b)  Funding for Memory Box Project

Tias Arms – 2 Projects - a) Children's feeding programme - b) School fees/uniforms funding

British Consultate Small Grants - Funding for medical supplies and protective clothing for our Community Workers

Bearing Man, Durban - Donation towards purchase price of new vehicle

Dept. of Social Welfare - Pays our Social Worker's salary

Anglo American Chairman's Fund - Funding for equipment for our new Education Centre and Drop-in Centre in Mpophomeni

Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund - 2 years funding to extend Outreach programme

Global Fund - 3 years funding for homebased patient care.
