Goals
To meet the needs of the people mentioned before,
we are constantly seeking funding to educate more volunteers and supply
basic medicines and equipment.
To date we have accomplished a homebased palliative care service to the terminally
ill patients who are referred to us by doctors, hospitals and clinics.
This
load is increasing steadily and has almost met with total capacity for our
present resources.
One of our main aims is to empower the community – most often they are
women and children – by educating them on how to care for their loved
ones at home.
By offering our support, unconditional concern and visits by
nursing staff and community workers on a regular basis and offering basic medication,
often a food parcel and monies to pay for transport for clinic and hospital
visits, we enable families to cope with this disastrous epidemic. |
